Onboarding Experience from Shubho
My onboarding experience at NexGen Cloud has been incredibly smooth and welcoming, setting a high standard for how new employees should be integrated into a company. One of the first things that stood out to me was receiving access to essential tools such as Slack, Jira, and email even before my official start date. This early access was instrumental in helping me understand the typical workflow and communication patterns within the organization. It allowed me to familiarize myself with the platforms and be more prepared for my first day, making the transition much smoother.
A significant highlight of the onboarding process has been the NexGen Buddy system. This thoughtful initiative pairs new employees with experienced colleagues who can provide guidance and support during the initial weeks. My buddies, Shafin and Linto, have been incredibly kind and supportive, constantly guiding me on what to do and what not to do. Their advice has been invaluable in helping me navigate the new environment and quickly adapt to the company culture. Knowing exactly who to reach out to if I encounter any problems has made me feel more confident and comfortable in my new role.
My manager, Shahed, has also played a crucial role in making my onboarding experience positive. He is always open to receiving questions and does so with a smile, making him very approachable. Shahed’s supportive nature and willingness to assist have made it easy to discuss any challenges or uncertainties I encounter. His positive attitude and encouragement have motivated me to engage more deeply with my work and the team, enhancing my overall experience.
The quality of the documentation at NexGen Cloud is another aspect that deserves mention. The documentation is incredibly thorough and well-organized, covering everything from technical processes to company policies. Having access to such comprehensive resources has significantly reduced the learning curve, allowing me to contribute to the team more quickly and effectively.
On my first working day, my buddy Shafin provided me with a 30-day plan outlining what the team expects from me. This plan was detailed and well-structured, giving me a clear roadmap for my initial month. Knowing what is expected of me over the next 30 days has been extremely helpful, as it has provided direction and focus for my efforts.
Overall, my onboarding is incrediblly good.
Onboarding Experience from Mehadi
My onboarding experience at NexGen Cloud has been exceptionally smooth and welcoming, setting a high benchmark for how new employees should be integrated into a company.
Early Access: Before my official start date, I received access to essential tools like Slack, Jira, Zoom,1Password and my official Email address from Linto. He was very helpful and helped me with some issues I faced with 1Password. This early access allowed me to familiarize myself with the company's workflow and communication channels, making my first days much more productive.
NexGen Buddy System:
NexGen cloud offers a Buddy system which aims to help the new employees maneuver around different parts of the company in their initial weeks by pairing them with experienced colleagues. I have never faced something like this before and I must say it is a very welcoming and employee friendly feature. My buddies, Ahsan and Simanto, have been very kind and supportive. With the knowledge of exactly who to reach out to if I encounter any problems has made me feel more confident and comfortable in my new role.
Best Manager:
In my professional life I have never come across so helpful and friendly manager like Shahed. By arranging welcome meetings for me with the team, and with other colleagues from different teams, he helped me to break the ice and make connections with other colleagues. He answers all of my question with utmost patience and made me understand my role and responsibilities. His positive attitude and encouragement have motivated me to engage more deeply with my work and the team. He provided me a 30-day plan outlining what the team expects from me at confluence. He allowed me to be a part of the QA deployment session done by Shafin. In the early stage it was a really great opportunity for me to witness how things are done by the DevOps team and this will help me greatly as I continue my journey at NexGen cloud.
Quality Documentation:
I must say in my Professional life so far I have never come across so well organized Documentation system that NexGen Cloud offers. From product documentation to company policies, all are well organized and easy to understand. This level of detail has greatly shortened the learning curve and enabled me to contribute to the team’s efforts more quickly and effectively.
Overall, I can say it has been a great experience so far and I hope I will be able to contribute more to the company as I advance.
